Hollywood Casino Jamul - San Diego

It's what you expect from a casino - loud noises, smoke, and fun. Give me a break FFS. Security seems adequate - they're really laid-back, but I didn't see any signs of problems. This business has been claimed by the owner or a representative. Partners offers Exclusive Deal.

Welcome to Reddit,

Presentation of the Hollywood Casino Jamul - San Diego

She was so very nice, I hate I forgot her name, but she was an Indian lady. I remember her because she got so excited when I said my name was Anisha. Indian people tend to get excited when they find out my name because it's of Indian Origin lol.

Unfortunately I only won five dollars so I used that five dollars on the penny machines. LoL everyone end up winning something or their money back except my grandpa lol.

Then my uncle took us over to the area where they had all of these different restaurant that cooks food. We pick the Chinese restaurant and I ended up getting the date and broccoli with rice. My sister got the crab Rangoon's as well as the spring rolls. Then my aunt recommended that we try these colossal chocolate chip cookies that they have there. They were so freaking good!

We ended up buying about six and then my sister got this crazy sugarfield rice crispy treat with marshmallows on top and fruity pebbles. We had a blast! If you're passing through for a visit or want a casual casino getaway, this place will do the trick. The slots are hit or miss typical but my girlfriend has hit several big pots here - of course, she's paid to get there oi.

Dealers at the table games are ok. I've notice the pit bosses don't seem to be as locked into making sure these dealers are on point as they are at other casinos, resulting in incorrect payouts or not-so-friendly interactions with the public, which makes people like me not want to spend so much time at places like the craps table.

My girlfriend and I used to frequent this casino a few days per week, but a recent event in the poker room caused us to stop coming altogether. While in a hand with another player after the river, a player not in the hand urged the player in the hand to call me, stating his opinion about me bluffing the guy talking, folded post-flop, but pre-turn, and pre-river. You could tell the guy still in the hand was about to fold - had his cards in his hands, ready to throw them in the muck.

But this other guy's urging kept him in I said something about it, and the dealer got all bent out of shape. At the end, I got lectured by one of the heads of the poker room about keeping a lid on it when really, they should have been checking the dealer for helping a potential collusion situation take place.

I'm not a huge gambler - only brought a few hundred into this joint every week Better care should be taken when dealing with cooperative regulars. Been here many times but first Yelp review. Loads of slot machines and gambling tables. They seem to rotate through the slots often so don't have a favorite! The Epic buffet is okay food. Lots to choose from but not very tasty. The OH Lounge isn't much better. On New Year eve there were entertainment for Free. Today went for free seminar on Rules of Renovation.

Oh well I call it Entertainment This a great place to visit. The cool air conditioner and free cold beverages. I have been here for many fine events as live boxing, playing, and fine dining.

For all your special dinners i would recommen going to the final cut 5 star restaurant inside Hollywood casino. Location georgesville west Columbus Ohio. Garage parking and a lot parking and good valet parking available.

Would give this place a negative if not for their great Security team that greet you at the door when you first come in. Due to her temp iD, which we never had an issue with in Colorado!

As to the slots, they seem rigged to lose as my buffalo games never have x3 multipliers when a bonus round finally does miraculously show. Save your money and wait for a trip to Vegas or visit a more distant casino. Hollywood does not deserve your deposits!! Not being very big on gambling, I don't really do casinos. When Hollywood Casino came to Columbus, I was happy for the city, but still opted out of visiting. It wasn't until I found out about the music groups that they were bringing in that I took an interest.

It was a good year before I finally drove across town with my friends. What impressed me first arriving at night was the awesome light displays on the outside of the building, showing recent winners and upcoming performances. It looked a lot like how I envisioned Las Vegas to be nope, I haven't been there either. I had only visited one other casino in my life passing through Mississippi and immediately noticed that there was a small security detail, greeting you at the door.

They were also checking IDs to confirm that you were of age. Machines everywhere, as expected. Roulette tables, poker tables, etc. It took me some time before I could sit and play because I wanted to see all that they had to offer. They had a nice gift shop and AYCE restaurant ok, now you're talking and cool yesteryear displays of famous actors and actresses in the entrances to the restrooms. I didn't know at the time that there was a parking garage, making it more convenient to park and walk, having parked up front.

I'll skip the gaming experience because the slots are self-explanatory. I really enjoyed the pop machines yeah, I said "pop" - not "soda" because I'm a root beer fiend. They had to make me leave that area to actually play games. The AYCE restaurant is incredibly awesome! They always said that casino food was the best. I had no idea! So many different delicious entrees to choose from. I was so glad that I wore sweat pants, eliminating the need to loosen my belt.

The dessert was phenomenal as well. I also enjoy going to the New Year's Eve parties and on Sundays, to see the games on the big screens. My favorite casino in the Ohio area. It's clean and beautiful, and everyone who works here is polite and attentive. The lower dollar card table dealers are always great to help you learn the games if you haven't played before!

Hollywood is great for having live music and shows as well! You should look at what events they have going on before you go! The only negative I have is that I've never won much money here, but that's the price you pay for gambling I guess!

Parking It's a casino Live music So. Not nearly enough tables. This is my only grip, but will probably hinder me from going on a regular basis as I love roulette. I have rarely felt like a second class citizen but my experience here proved women are not viewed equal to men.

I went to this casino after a business dinner and was denied entry although several drunk men were allowed in because I was "seemingly intoxicated" after dinner. I was escorted to a cab by the police! Give me a break FFS. Save your time, energy, and money for a more deserving casino. Did not like the buffet at all!

Was hoping we didn't get sick! Should have went in the steak place instead. And I guess I don't understand Ohio gambling. I am from Montana and the casinos there are much easier. We'll try Sciota Downs next time. A fun place to go for an hour or two. Hollywood Casino will keep you occupied, with their different food options, slot machines, and gaming tables.

Their gaming tables have grown considerably since they first opened. Don't worry there is still plenty of slots to choose from too! They often have free live entertainment. They are constantly running different gaming promotions. When you sign up for a Marquee card you get a chance to win some Free Play money. I wish they had a bingo game hall, and a Starbucks. They used to offer Starbucks and then got rid of it by the next visit. Other than those few desires Hollywood is a fun time whether you are with friends or family.

Not Vegas, but not bad at all. I was dragged here by a friend visiting from Long Beach, and we had a really nice time. Was New Year's eve and we both needed to get back before midnight, so we didn't get to check out everything by any means. People watching was absolutely hysterical, this is quite a spot for that. Pssst to my platform heels loving Yelp friend, you know who you are, you would have been in hog heaven here! I would say food is a tad overpriced, but I didn't go there to eat particularly.

Parking was free, service was fabulous, can't really expect anything more. The grill has Starbucks coffee drinks at regular price, that was a nice discovery towards the end, way better deal than red bull plus shot.

Let's face it, whipped cream is a perfect food, and getting it at the casino was a nice plus. Very glad it's smoke-free. Not enough floor space between the card tables, slot machines, and restaurant tables.

If you wanted to get up out of your seat for the restroom, good luck, as Concert patrons were jammed in for Eddie Money. Not bad acoustic system, I guess. Standing room for this free concert, so no idea if they have a "concert hall" in this casino.

I'll definitely be back for the free Blues Traveler concert. That's about my visitation extent, since I'm not a gambler. Man, Ohio has some of the worst casinos I have ever been to. Columbus, oddly enough, has the best fully-functioning casino with table games in Ohio.

I have only been to Hollywood Columbus and Jack Cleveland, as well as four slots-only casinos. Naturally, the cashier is far removed in an isolated part of the casino. They have high table minimums because they are the only game within 2 hours. I thought the layout was tacky and was fake. The decor resembled the type of elegance one can see when they enter an upscale strip club, with overuse of the colors orange and yellow, it's a step above the warehouses functioning as Hollywood Casinos in Charles Town, WV and Grantsville, PA.

Hollywood Casino Columbus is such a lame place for gambling. It's not remotely like anything in Vegas if that's what you think it's like. This is shit for backwards Midwesterners. It has ridiculous prices so that part's the same at least. The slots all seem pretty boring and there's an annoying system for playing them.

If you like to gamble you may come here anyway. It's not in a good area of Columbus, but this is getting much better. The slot machines are kind of annoying for me. It's not like you come into the casino, then sit at a slot and put money into it. What you have to do instead is to get something called a club card to use any of the machines. It may not seem like much of a hassle just to get a card at the front. That's before you consider the need to interact with the staff, who if you're able to find them are usually assholes or fucking idiots.

It has several dining choices. The only good thing about that is the number of choices, because the food is a rip off. Its most popular dining option is probably the Epic Buffet. One good thing is they have lots of food. If you're looking for a buffet you have some better options.

There's a few buffets with better selection and a fraction of its price. This is even for the pretty small portion of tofu and vegetables.

If you're hungry go to one of the cheap Chinese restaurants on Broad Street. The quality is about the same. When I feel like gambling I would rather go to any of the sketchy gaming halls than Hollywood Casino.

Its lame for a casino and the staff sucks. The only authentic thing about it is you're able to spend all your money on lame games like these. Ivan the manager is no help, and has poor customer service. Didn't help when we had an issue and had extremely bad breath! Review from an in-frequent gambler. Seek table, odds, or dealer info from someone else. I was here for the concert entertainment.

Diamond Quest has a top prize of 1, free spins! All wins during the bonus are doubled in value, and if you get three diamonds on the screen during the free spins, it's back to the treasure chests to pick more spins. In all of Atlantic City there is exactly one Diamond Quest machine.

There are a few in Vegas, but I've never seen 10 machines under one roof like at the Hollywood in Charles Town. This is a clean casino with lots of games to choose from. The restaurants are good with reasonable prices and lots of choices. The dealers are friendly and professional, the drink service is excellent when playing at the tables, and there are non-smoking areas. The smoking areas can be really smoky and with the circulation you can end up with smoke blowing into your face so be prepared to deal with it or stay in the non-smoking areas.

Alcohol is free while you are playing at the tables but you should tip the server. There is also a soda machine set up with free drinks for anyone. The race track is fun but the programs are not free. Be sure to sign up for a card and put it in any slot machine you play and show it when getting chips at the table. You'll earn points toward drawings and they'll send you offers in the mail.

Remember - it is gambling and there are no guarantees. Play only what you can afford to lose and consider it entertainment. Then if you win it's even better. Own or manage this property?
